A biopic on popular yesteryear Malayalam actress Shakeela is being made with Richa Chadha portraying the former adult star under Indrajith Lankesh’s direction, who happens to be slain journalist Gauri Lankesh’s brother. Being produced by Magic Cinema Productions and distributed by Yoddhas Entertainment, the upcoming biopic has been titled Shakeela with the tagline “Not a Porn Star”.

It has also been revealed that Shakeela herself will be making a cameo in the upcoming biopic. Although not much is known about the plot at this point, it is being reported the film will narrate the tale of the adult star from the time she entered the film industry and follow her journey from thereon.
Richa Chadha has established herself as a powerhouse performer in Bollywood garnering raving reviews for her acting skills in films namely the Gangs of Wasseypur franchise, Fukrey, Masaan, Sarbjit, Love Sonia among few others.
