After the record-breaking hit of Pathaan, the next film of actor Shah Rukh Khan is Jawan. The film has created huge excitement among fans and movie buffs as it will mark the debut of popular Tamil director Atlee in Bollywood. Announcing the release of the song from the movie, actor-producer shared a special statement on his Twitter page. He shared a couple of lines from the song and translated them into English: "When principles are at stake, one must fight; this battle is what makes you alive!". He then thanked veteran Urdu poet Wasim Barselvi, saying, "I thank Wasim Varselvi Sahab with all my heart for letting us use this beautiful couplet with a minor change." He then shared that the song was written by Irshad Kamil and the music was composed by his "dear friend" Anirudh.
