Seminar on 50 years of TV in India
Kannada playwright and actor Girish Karnad, who was recently elected as a World Theatre Ambassador of UNESCO’s International Theatre Institute, will inaugurate a seminar on '50 years of television in India' on Saturday at the Jnanajyothi Auditorium on Central College Campus, Bangalore.
The seminar is organised by Bangalore Doordarshan Kendra jointly with the Department of Electronic Media of Bangalore University. It comprises five sessions including three on Entertainment industry, role of animations in television and credibility of news-comparative analysis, told Mahesh Joshi, Director of Doordarshan, Bangalore, on Thursday.
"The seminar is designed to facilitate the students of mass communication, and the recorded versions of these sessions will be telecast on Chandana," he added. Vice-Chancellor of Bangalore University H.T. Rathod will also attend the seminar.
