Naane Varuven is an upcoming film that has been directed by Selvaraghavan starring his brother Dhanush in the lead role. This movie marks the reuniting of Selvaraghavan and Dhanush after Mayakkam Enna. The film has been produced by Kalaippuli S Thanu and Yuvan Shankar Raja is the music director of Naane Varuven.
The film's music is composed by Yuvan Shankar Raja while cinematography is handled by Om Prakash and editing is done by Prasanna G. K. The film is expected to be released theatrically in the month of September.
The makers of the film have already released the first look poster as well as other stills from the film. Just recently, Selvaraghavan shared two more posters from the upcoming film. Sharing them on his official Twitter handle, he wrote, "🙏🤓🙏 #NaaneVaruven ". Check it out:

Dhanush is playing dual role in the film and he has also penned the story and screenplay of Naane Varuven. This is his second film as a scriptwriter. Earlier, Dhanush wrote the story of Pa. Paandi. Dhanush has worked with his elder brother Selvaraghavan in Tamil films like Kadhal Kondein, Pudhupettai, and Mayakkam Yenna. Naane Varuven is touted to be a thriller and is expected to release sometime in the month of September this year, meaning there is a slight chance that the film will clash with Mani Ratnam’s magnum opus Ponniyin Selvan which has been scheduled to release on 30 September 2022.
Meanwhile, on the work front, Dhanush is basking in the success of his last release Thiruchitrambalam which hit the screens last week. He is now awaiting the release of his bilingual film Vaathi (Sir in Telugu) and is also currently shooting for his next film with Arun Matheswaran which has been titled Captain Miller.
