English actor Cary Elwes, known notably for his roles in The Princess Bride, Robin Hood: Men in Tights, and the Saw film franchise, was hospitalized in a California hospital after he was bitten by a rattlesnake last Saturday. The actor had to be airlifted to Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center as he had been working outside his residence in Malibu when he sustained the injury. Sharing a photo of his severely injured finger, Elwes revealed on Twitter that he was recuperating, saying, "Bit not by a ROUS but a rattlesnake. Grateful to the staff of Malibu Urgent Care, LA County Fire Dept. and the staff and medical professionals at @UCLAHealth for their great care. Am recovering well thanks to all these wonderful folks. 🙏"
