When asked when he did narrate the story to actress Swathi Reddy, The director Sasikumar said, Even after 15 years, she keeps saying that he had not told her about the climax. The director said the actress let it slide because the film went well. "I selected the heroine just four days before heroine, and she took up the role because she liked the song 'Kangal Irandal'", He said. The filmmaker added just narrated the story as three brothers, and there will be a daughter in the family, and the story revolves around whether the hero and heroine get together or not. He said "she asked if she would be a happy or tragic ending. I said Happy end for you. The day before shooting the climax, I revealed the ending to Jai and the heroine, and at that time she yelled, 'I am a backstabber, I am a backstabber,' and left. Jai also felt bad." The director said that for two days she did not talk to anybody out of anger and that added he needed that anger, and she performed well in that scene.
Subramaniapuram director said he then convinced the heroine, Swathi Reddy, that fans would not be angry at her. She said they then went to a theatre with the heroine to watch thre film after release, and during climax, audience screaming at the character played by her. Sasikumar then shared "he convinced the actress again that they are appreciating her for her acting because Tamil fans are emotional. Then, when Bala sir saw the film, he appreciated the ending." The director explained, "If I had said the climax to the actors first, I wouldn’t have been able to take the 'Kangal Irandal' song because, in the subconscious mind, there will be a thought that she betrays him in the end, and it will be reflected in her eyes."
