The sensational music composer Santhosh Narayanan is set to perform his first concert in Malaysia. Ahead of the concert, the director gave an exclusive interview to Galatta Plus with the National Award-winning film critic Baradwaj Rangan, the editor-in-chief of Galatta Plus. When the interviewer asked if he was going to perform songs composed by other music directors. Santhosh Narayanan said "I love the whole fraternity, the Tamil music fraternity is very friendly and we have all worked with each other and there is great love between all composers. I have never thought about this but I wanted to do it. I did not know the statistics of it. I wanted to perform the songs that people love. For example, if Dhee is coming on stage and she is not singing Rowdy Baby. (people are gonna be disappointed)" He then said "It (Rowdy Baby) is the biggest song of Dhee, I have a version of Rowdy Baby that I want to present and I have Asked Yuvan sir, to listen to it. It's amazing...It is true to the original but has some of my/our elements to it."
When asked if Santhosh Narayanan has reworked the song, He said "a little bit but I have not changed too much of the original. For example, Anirudh is an amazing star and there are some songs I have sung for him and I want to present that for the audience and It just a natural reaction to my career. I wish I can do more (songs from other composers) and that is why the concert is called Sounds of the South." Check out the full interview:
