Comedian turned hero Santhanam’s 2019 has so far been a mighty successful one as the star’s Dhilluku Dhuddu 2 and A1 went on to become box office hits. With a few notable projects already in development, it was revealed a while back that Santhanam’s next titled, Dikkiloona, jointly produced by KJR Studios and Balloon director Sinish’s Soldiers Factory banners with music by Yuvan Shankar Raja would see Indian Cricket Team, World Cup winner and Chennai Super Kings cricketer, Harbhajan Singh, making his Tamil cinema debut. That said, the complete cast for Dikkiloona, which is the directorial debut of newcomer Karthik Yogi, has now been announced and includes Santhanam paired opposite Natpe Thunai actress Anagha and Nenjamundu Nermaiyundu Odu Raja fame Shirin Kanchwala. Set to kick-off production from November 18, the film also includes Yogi Babu, Anand Raj, Munishkanth, ‘Naan Kadavul’ Rajendran, Chitra Lakshmanan, Shah Ra, Arun Alexander, Nizhalgal Ravi and Prashanth Rangaswamy in vital supporting roles. A sci-fi comedy entertainer, Dikkiloona will see Santhanam in triple roles for the first time in his career as hero, villain and comedian. The cinematographer of the film is Arvi followed by Jomin handling editing, art direction by A. Rajesh, stunts by Dinesh Subbarayan, lyrics being penned by Arunraja Kamaraj and ‘Saravedi’ Saran, choreography by Sheriff and costume designs by A. Keerthivasan.
