The official first look poster of Samantha's Shaakuntalam was unveiled this morning and it has managed to garner the attention of the fans and film buffs. The first look features Samantha seated in a forest surrounded by greeneries and animals and birds. Samantha looks ethereal and divine in this first look and it looks this elegant makeover of her is going to be one of the interesting aspects of the movie. Samantha is seen wearing a white ensemble adding more authenticity to the fairy vibe. Shaakuntalam is directed by Gunasekhar who is known for making movies like Ramayanam, Okkadu, and Rudhramadevi.

Produced by Neelima Guna and presented by Dil Raju, the film has music composed by Mani Sharma. Sai Madhav Burra has penned the dialogues for this film which has editing by Prawin Pudi. The shooting of Shaakuntalam has been completely wrapped up and the makers are currently busy with the post production works that are happening in full swing. Shaakuntalam will have a pan Indian release in 5 different languages - Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam, and Hindi. Shaakuntalam features an ensemble star cast that includes the likes of Dev Mohan, Aditi Balan, Ananya Nagalla, Prakash Raj, Mohan Babu, Gautami, Kabir Bedi, Madhoo, Kabir Duhan Singh, and others.

Allu Arjuns daughter Allu Arha will be making her on-screen debut with Shaakuntalam. The film is expected to release in the summer of 2022. Samantha's next release will be the Tamil film, Kaathuvaakula Rendu Kaadhal which has Vijay Sethupathi and Nayanthara playing the other leads. Kaathuvaakula Rendu Kaadhal is set to release in theatres on April 28 as a summer treat for the fans. Apart from KRK, Samantha also has movies like Yashoda, The Arrangements of Love (International Debut), etc. in her lineup. Happening days ahead for the star actress.
