Samantha Ruth Prabhu is a leading actress who recently celebrated 13 years of being a part of the cinema industry. The actress made her debut with the Telugu film Ye Maaya Chesave and did a cameo appearance in the Tamil film Vinnaithandi Varuvaaya. The actress recently gave an exciting interview as a part of the promotion for Shaakuntalam. When asked about the emotional moment during trailer launch, the actress said "Everybody thought I cried for me or because of Gunasekhar sir. I know the hard work he has put in. It was not just him his whole family they are like a team. Like, every single thing from a blade of grass to a big palace, every single thing, he put his heart and soul into it. So, when I saw him crying I got emotional because I knew why he broke down and how muck It took to make the film, like he wanted to make the film and for that, I should also appreciate Dil Raju garu. for thinking about a film mounted on this much budget with a female actress (as lead). A few years back this would be unheard of. So, we all found each other and it's what is the best part of the film." Talking about the final output of the film, Samantha said “if one person did not give their 100%, it is going to show on screen. As many people gave 100% this output has come. so, we saw (the film) and we have known that nobody let each other down that was the happiest moment I guess." She also shared about her dubbing in classical Tamil for the film.
Samantha Ruth Prabhu then opened up about the difficult phase that she went through after she was diagnosed with Myositis, but still managed to be positive. The actress said “I think I have always been a spiritual person and that has amplified and have turned to spirituality more because of the faith. You were asking about the tweet that said 'I lost my glow, charm.' Before, if someone had said that I would have doubted myself but now maybe I don’t look as good as I used to I feel a lot good (beautiful) inside because I know the struggles that it took me to reach here and that made me strong, beautiful and all the scars made me more beautiful than ever. Now, commenting on my looks doesn’t affect me much and maybe nothing affects me any more."
