Radio jockey turned actor-filmmaker RJ Balaji will be seen next in Run Baby Run, his first-ever thriller, and is coming out in theatres worldwide on February 3. The film also stars leading South Indian actress Aishwarya Rajesh playing the female lead and has been directed by debutant Jiyen Krishnakumar under S Lakshman Kumar's blockbuster banner Prince Pictures and features music by Sam C. S. Billed to be an "edgy thriller", it is the first time both RJ Balaji and Aishwarya Rajesh are starring together, and also marks the first outing of 2023 for each of them. With promotions already underway, the much-awaited Run Baby Run official trailer has now been released and gives us a short glimpse at the thrilling ride that awaits fans in theatres next month.
The Run Baby Run trailer starts off introducing RJ Balaji driving when his car comes to a halt all of a sudden, with the visuals then shifting to what appears to be a woman succumbing to her death after falling down from the top of a building. We then see a transition to RJ Balaji on the road once again and this time alongside a young woman and their vehicle apparently colliding with a truck on a highway. The Run Baby Run trailer primarily focuses on the mystery surrounding the deaths and how RJ Balaji's life gets turned upside down, with Aishwarya Rajesh also thrown into the midst of the bizzare circumstances. Tamizh is seen playing the role of a police officer investigating the case, while Vivek Prasanna too is a cop in the film, which also has names like legendary actress Radikaa Sarathkumar, Mookuthi Amman fame Smruthi Venkat, Bagavathi Perumal, Hareesh Peradi, among others in the cast.
Run Baby Run has raised quite a lot of curiosity among fans as it sees RJ Balaji in a completely different role from the ones he has portrayed over the years and all sights will be on him to come up with yet another interesting performance. Aishwarya Rajesh, who has established herself to be a seasoned performer and one of the most popular names in Tamil cinema, is also a big addition to the film's cast, and the trailer hints at her role being crucial to the situations arising in the plot.
