RRR is a film that has made many heads turn and has won international acclaim including winning the Golden Globes for Best Original Song Naatu Naatu and in five categories in the Hollywood Critics Association awards. It is directed by SS Rajamoui with Ram Charan and Jr. NTR in lead roles. The film has also been nominated for the Oscars or Academy Awards in the Best Original Song Category for the song Naatu Naatu composed by MM Keeravani. The film is nominated alongside Applause from Tell It Like a Woman, Hold My Hand from Top Gun: Maverick, Lift me Up from Black Panther: Wakanda Forever and This is Life from Everything Everywhere All At Once.

As it's tradition to perform all the original songs nominees during the Oscars ceremony, RRR's Naatu Naatu is also to be performed by the composer MM Keeravani at the award ceremony that is happening at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood on Monday morning (India time). There were speculations that Ram Charan and Jr NTR could dance to the song during the ceremony. Now, it's been confirmed that American actor-dancer Lauren Gottlieb will perform at the 65th Academy Awards for Best Original Song. The talented dancer has been a part of many Bollywood films including ABCD: Any Body Can Dance and has also been a part of many Hollywood films including Hannah Montana: The Movie and Alvin and The Chipmunks Chipwrecked in small characters.
The dancer and actor broke the news through an Instagram post. Lauren Gottlieb posted a picture with the infamous Hollywood sign in the background and said “I’m performing on Naatu Naatu at the Oscars!!!!!! I’m beyond excited to represent India on the most prestigious stage in the world. Wish me luck!!!”. She also posted a group of dancers practicing the Naatu Naatu hook step and thanked saying she is grateful for the massive opportunity and added "Let’s burn up this stage!!!"
