Tamil actor Robo Shankar and wife Priyanka Sankar are celebrating their 22nd wedding anniversary on Wednesday, November 29, and the couple sought blessings from 'Superstar' Rajinikanth at the Thalaivar 170 sets and 'Ulaganayagan' Kamal Haasan at the Indian 2 shooting spot. Sharing photos from their meeting along with their daughter Indraja Shankar, Priyanka Sankar took to Instagram and wrote, "Happy wedding anniversary amma appa…❤️ Got blessings from legendries of indian cinema Padma shri Dr. Kamal Hassan sir and Superstar Rajini Kanth sir… As amma’s long wish to get signature from both the legends…❤️Robo family happy Annachii….❤️🎉" (sic)
Earlier, in the wee hours of the day, Priyanka posted a heartfelt message about her husband Robo Shankar along with photos from their wedding back in 2002. Priyanka, who herself played a role in Kanni Maadam (2020), wrote in Tamil, "From 29/11/2002 to 29/11/2023, 22 years have passed. How they went past, I don't know Shankaramma. My only wish is to spend the rest of the year like this holding your hand. Happy 22nd anniversary my dear sweet heart sankarammaaaaa". Robo Shankar and wife Priyanka Sankar are parents to daughter Indraja, who is best known to Tamil cinema audiences for her starring as Pandiyamma in 'Thalapathy' Vijay's blockbuster Bigil (2019) and Kolavikkal in Karthi's Viruman (2022), while also appearing as one of the contestants in the first season of the Zee Tamil reality TV show, Survivor Tamil Season 1.
Robo Shankar, who started off performing stand-up comedy on Vijay Television's Kalakkapovathu Yaaru, went on to appear in several notable TV shows before making it to the big screen. He quickly rose to fame in Tamil cinema starring alongside leading actors 'Thalapathy' Vijay, Ajith Kumar, 'Chiyaan' Vikram, Suriya, Dhanush, Vijay Sethupathi, and Sivakarthikeyan to name a notable few.
