Taking to social media, RJ Balaji shared a detailed note in which he explained how he has been trying to make different films over the course of his career. He said, "Everytime and with every project, I put in my fullest efforts to keep up with the trust and the belief that you have in me, and I feel elated that it has happened once again with Run Baby Run. Each time I choose to do a film, I always have two things in mind etched very strongly - one, the audience has to be happy - satisfied watching my film, and two, the film has to be profitable for the producer and all those who are associated with it. This is the reason why I take a long time between films, having done only four films in five years."
He further explained, "Run Baby Run is a very different film for me. Coming from a familiar zone of partaking in comedy and family entertainers, I had a lot of hesitation and inhibition in doing a focussed thriller where I had minimum dialogues and a highly restrained body language. A lot of times in the past, audiences have not accepted such drastic changes from an actor. But, Thank you to each one of you for accepting me in a serious role, and making RBR a memorable and respectable film."
RJ Balaji also stated, "My team and I are extremely happy that Run Baby Run has brought in the same amount of happiness & satisfaction for the audience, and profits for the makers, just like how LKG, Mookuthi Amman and Veetla Vishesham did in the past. This kind of a confidence booster is precious for me to try out different genres of films in the future." He also conveyed his respect to the film's producers and said, "I would like to thank my director Mr.Jiyen Krishnakumar, producer Mr. Lakshman, Mr. Venkatesh from Prince pictures, the entire technical team, all my co-actors, and the entire crew of RBR for all their efforts in making this film."
Concluding his thank you note, RJ Balaji said, "Finally, Aunty, uncle, தம்பி, தங்கச்சி, பச்சசட்டை, From LKG to Run Baby Run, it's four out of four now I feel truly blessed at this moment. I'm grateful to each one of you for making me feel this way, always. It's only your love and trust that has made everything possible.
Thank you
And I promise to work harder and give more entertaining films in the future. See you soon in cinemas with Singapore Saloon.
Love, RJ B."
