Now that the dust has settled around the grand release of Netflix's Stranger Things Season 4 Volume 2, people have finally achieved the closure that they have been longing for the past 3 years. Now, it is time to focus on the most expensive OTT series ever to have been made in history - The Lord Of The Rings: The Rings Of Power.
A new exclusive sneak peek was released by Amazon which was just 5 seconds shy of a minute which can only be seen by Amazon Prime subscribers. But since its release, various YouTube channels have extracted it and uploaded it unofficially to their respective pages. The sneak peek has highlighted the grand lore this series is going to bring to the fans.
The sneak peek also shines a bright light on an ominous comet that seems to be of great significance to the story as it is featured in every shot and the different characters in the shot are all looking up at it as it passes by. Maybe it is something they are all moving towards? Maybe it is something they are trying to avoid and run away from? Only time will tell.
The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power is set in J.R.R. Tolkien’s fabled Second Age of Middle-earth’s history — thousands of years before the events of 'The Hobbit' and 'The Lord of the Rings' books. It takes its viewers back to an era in which great powers were forged, kingdoms rose to glory and fell to ruin, unlikely heroes were tested, hope hung by the finest of threads, and the greatest villain that ever flowed from Tolkien's pen threatened to cover all the world in darkness - Dark Lord Sauron. Beginning in a time of relative peace, the series follows an ensemble cast of characters as they confront the long-feared reemergence of evil in Middle-earth.
The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power will start streaming on Amazon Prime video from 2 September 2022 onwards. At the end of the sneak peek, a text appears which says a new teaser will be coming out on July 14. So that is something to keep in mind and look out for!
