Resul Pookutty's onscreen debut
Oscar award winning sound designer Resul Pookutty will soon face the camera for the first time in a Malayalam film titled Sneham + Ishtam = Amma, directed by his school and college mate Jayachandran Ayalara, who has won accolades for his various documentary films.
According to sources, Jayachandran's maiden venture Sneham + Ishtam = Amma will have Pookutty donning a guest role. Notably, the film will also have Resul Pookutty's friend and cinematographer S.G. Raman, who had adamantly sent the application to Pune Film Institute on behalf of Pookutty long ago.
The film was launched on Friday at SP Grand Days Hotel, Panavila. Kavalam Narayana Panicker, script writer M. Hajamoinu, music composer-singer M.G. Sreekumar and dubbing artist Bhagyalakshmi attended the pooja.
Yesteryear heroine and director Revathi will essay a central character. Debutante Shahin will play the role of Revath's son. Vandana (Happy Husbands fame) and Namitha (Traffic fame) are the heroines.
Keerthana, a contestant of Munch Star Singer Junior on Asianet, is making her foray into acting through this movie, produced by J Bharath Samuel under the banner of Bharath Creations.
