Rashmika Mandanna opens up on her crush on Thalapathy Vijay
Actress Rashmika Mandanna has scaled the peaks in quick time in South Indian cinema and has garnered a massive fan following over the years among Tamil youngsters as well despite not having starred in a single Tamil venture till date. Having made her debut in the 2016 Kannada film, Kirik Party, Rashmika has since become a sensation across South India and was last seen in Mahesh Babu's Sarileru Neekevvaru, which came out as a grand Sankranthi treat.
Rashmika is set to be seen next in the upcoming Telugu film, Bheeshma, opposite Nithiin, hitting theatres on February 21, with expectations for the film quite high especially after an action-packed trailer released yesterday. That said, the popular actress, who has been busy promoting Bheeshma, was asked which actor she would want to choose as her friend, boyfriend and husband, to which she chose Nithiin as her friend and 'Thalapathy' Vijay as her boyfriend. She elaborated her reply saying she has had a huge crush on Vijay right from her childhood days and is waiting for the day to come when she will be cast alongside him. As for the question whom she would want to marry, Rashmika responded saying she would like to get married to a Tamil actor, but avoided mentioning the name.
It wasn't long back when Rashmika was a hot favorite to be cast in Vijay's Bigil, released last year with Nayanthara subsequently going on to play the female lead opposite the superstar. Rashmika will however be making her Tamil cinema debut this year opposite Karthi in Sulthan being directed by Remo fame Bakkiyaraj Kannan under the Dream Warrior Pictures banner.
