Actor Rashmika Mandanna, best known among Tamil cinema fans for playing the female lead in Karthi's Sulthan (2021) and 'Thalapathy' Vijay's Varisu (2023), has reportedly been cheated of Rs. 80 lakhs by her long-time manager. Called the National Crush of India by fans, the leading actress has since terminated her manager's services, as per Pinkvilla's latest report. Although an official statement is yet to be made, it is being said that Rashmika let go of her manager in private and chose not to create a scene.

At present, Rashmika is busy with her upcoming film commitments and will be seen next in the highly-anticipated Animal in Hindi scheduled to open in theatres worldwide on August 11. The much-awaited film will see the South Indian sensation paired with Bollywood superstar Ranbir Kapoor and is directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga of Arjun Reddy and Kabir Singh fame. A pre-teaser for Animal was released last week to a rousing response and showed Ranbir Kapoor in peak action mode taking on several thugs at once, with the film also starring Anil Kapoor and Bobby Deol in pivotal roles.
Rashmika is currently shooting for the exciting Pushpa 2: The Rule and will see her reprising her role as Srivalli alongside Telugu superstar Allu Arjun, who is playing the titular character. The sequel to the nationwide blockbuster Pushpa: The Rise being directed by Sukumar will this time feature Malayalam star Fahadh Faasil, who is set to be seen in an extended role as SP Bhanwar Singh Shekhawat after he appeared for a short duration in the first installment. Being shot in Telugu, the expectations for Pushpa 2: The Rule is massive, and it will be coming out in Hindi, Tamil, Malayalam, and Kannada languages as the 2021 original, which went on to gross more than Rs. 300 crores in worldwide box office collections.
