Rani in item song
Rani Chatterjee is perhaps the most successful actress of Bhojpuri films, with over two dozen successful films (including Sasura Bada Paisawala) as lead actress, but this time, she has some different plans.
For the first time ever, Rani Chatterjee is going to appear in an item song for Hum Bahubali, a huge production in terms of star cast.
The song "Lagai diya daiyya, lagai diya re... kore kagaj ke thappa lagai diya re..." has been picturised at huge celebration party with over 20,000 people present, when Mantu Gope (Ravi Kishan) wins the election.
"This exactly how big muscleman celebrate their victory in Bihar/ UP...” said director Anil Ajitabh. "I am sure people will like this concept; this is a naughty song but I must tell you, there is no place for vulgarity in my film," he added.
Even Rani is pretty satisfied with her new role... "No, I am not trying to become an item dancer. Actually, this was a nice song, and when Anil ji and Abhay ji (producer) asked me to do it, I could not refuse. I have tried to deliver my best. I am sure the audience will love this song," she said.
