National Award-winning filmmaker Ram’s Peranbu has been generating quite a lot of positive talk post its screenings at reputed film festivals namely the Rotterdam Film Festival in January followed by the 21st Shanghai International Film Festival in June.
Produced under the Shree Raaja Lakshmi Films banner with lilting music by Yuvan Shankar Raja, Peranbu stars Malayalam superstar Mammootty, Anjali and Thangameengal fame, Sadhana in lead roles.
With the film’s audio launched a few days back, Peranbu had been sent to the censor board, who have now cleared it with a ‘U/A’ certificate.

Furthermore, it has been revealed that Peranbu will have a runtime of 2 hours and 27 minutes (147 minutes), which looks to be quite ideal for a hard-hitting drama as the film seems to be.
Although there is no mention of a release date as yet, we can expect an official announcement from director Ram and the Peranbu team in the days ahead.
