Telugu film star Ram Charan and his wife Upasana Kamineni Konidela are now proud parents. The couple have been blessed with a baby girl. Ram Charan and Upasana welcomed their first child on Tuesday, June 20, 2023, at the Apollo Hospitals in Jubilee Hills, Hyderabad. Upasana arrived at the prestigious hospital accompanied by Ram Charan and other family members in the late evening of June 19 and gave birth to their baby girl in the early hours today. An official medical bulletin has been released informing the press and fans about the happy news that reads as follows: "Ms. Upasana Kamineni Konidela and Mr. Ram Charan Konidela had a baby girl on the 20th June 2023, At Apollo Hospital Jubilee hills Hyderabad. Both the baby and mother are doing well."

Ram Charan has had an eventful 2023 so far with the birth of his baby girl making the year even more memorable now. The actor became a global phenomenon after the staggering success of the 2022 epic action drama film RRR, which received a huge response around the world. Directed by S. S. Rajamouli saw Ram Charan sharing screen space with Jr. NTR, with the "Naatu Naatu" song in the film winning the Academy Award for 'Best Original Song' at the 95th Academy Awards, making it the first Indian song to win at the Oscars. Upasana too, despite her pregnancy, had been actively carrying her duties as an entrepreneur, while attending several family events and hosting baby shower parties in Hyderabad and Dubai over the past year.
Recently, Upasana revealed in an interview that she and Ram Charan will be shifting to 'Megastar' Chiranjeevi's house to welcome their newborn baby to spend time amidst the family. Dubbed the 'Mega Star Couple' by fans, they also announced that they received a handcrafted wooden cradle for their firstborn made by women at the Prajwala Foundation. Sharing the news in a video on Instagram, Upasana wrote, "We are honoured & humbled to receive this heartfelt gift from the incredible young women of #PrajwalaFoundation. This handcrafted cradle holds immense significance, symbolizing strength, resilience, and hope. It represents a journey of transformation and self-respect that I want my child to be exposed to from birth. (sic)
