It was a tension-filled day yesterday (10.04.2018) in Chennai as unprecedented violence erupted over the cricket match in the eleventh edition of the Indian Premier League between the Chennai Super Kings and the Kolkata Knight Riders teams. The incident not only garnered massive national coverage, but has also drawn strong opinions among fans with 'Superstar' Rajinikanth too registering his views now.
Rajinikanth, a short while back today morning strongly condemned the violence of police personnel being attacked along with a vide on his Twitter page. Below is his first tweet in Tamil including the video:

The worst form of violence in law and order situation is attack on uniformed personnel on duty.This form of violence has to be tackled immediately as it poses grave danger to our country.We need more stringent laws to punish the perpetrators of attack on police personnel on duty.

It must be noted the video Rajinikanth had shared also featured Seeman, the actor turned director turned politician and the chief-coordinator of the Naam Tamilar Katchi, in a heated verbal altercation with the police.
