‘Superstar’ Rajinikanth fans are having the time of their lives as the iconic actor’s next film titled Darbar under A. R. Murugadoss’s direction was announced for a Pongal 2020 release a while back by Lyca Productions.
Darbar includes a stellar technical team featuring names like Anirudh Ravichander scoring the music, Santhosh Sivan handling cinematography, editing by Sreekar Prasad, T. Santanam for the art direction, stunt choreography by the Ram-Laxman duo, lyrics by Vivek and Niharikha Bhasin Khan taking care of the costume designs.
Touted to be an action entertainer, it has now been confirmed that the first schedule of Darbar has been wrapped up at Mumbai with the second schedule planned to flag off towards the end of this month.
It must be noted that the ongoing film will be the first time Rajinikanth will be seen as a cop after his 1992 film, Pandiyan, released in 1992 and has ‘Thalaivar’ fans everywhere quite excited.
Darbar includes a diverse cast with names like Nayanthara as the female lead followed by Bollywood star Prateik Babbar playing a negative character, Yogi Babu for the comedy, veteran Bollywood actor Dalip Tahil, Sacred Games fame Jatin Sarna among others in vital supporting roles.
