Director S. S. Rajamouli of Baahubali fame's recent venture RRR was a roaring hit at the box office. It became the third Indian movie to gross over Rs. 1000 crores at the box office, with the first two being Baahubali and Dangal. The epic action-drama was produced by D. V. V. Danayya of DVV Entertainment and stars N. T. Rama Rao Jr., Ram Charan, Ajay Devgn, Alia Bhatt, Shriya Saran, Samuthirakani, Ray Stevenson, Alison Doody, and Olivia Morris. On the technical side of things, the film's soundtrack and background score is composed by M. M. Keeravani with cinematography by K. K. Senthil Kumar and editing by A. Sreekar Prasad. Sabu Cyril is the film's production designer whilst V. Srinivas Mohan supervised the visual effects. The fictional story follows two Indian revolutionaries, Alluri Sitarama Raju (Ram Charan) and Komaram Bheem (Jr. NTR), and their fight against the British Raj.
The film's OTT rights were acquired by the Zee5 OTT service and was planned to release it on their platform following the film's theatrical run. Well, that time has come. Brace yourself to catch the world digital premiere of S. S. Rajamouli's magnum opus RRR for the first time ever on Zee5 which will be made available to watch in Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam with a Hindi version coming soon. It will release on Friday 20th May 2022.
Zee5 has released an exclusive Telugu trailer of the film on YouTube which opens up the film's content a little bit more than what is seen in the film's original trailer. The power-packed trailer shows both Jr. NTR and Ram Charan embody their two different avatars and storylines - one in which they are pitted against each other and then the other in which the two have a strong bond with one another.
