Raghava Lawrence is one of the leading actors who had mainly acted in Tamil and Telugu films. The actor is known for his philanthropic and social work and also runs a charitable trust. The recent film of the actor that was released was Rudhran which saw the reunion of the hit Kanchana combo of Lawrence and Sarath Kumar. The film was directed by notable producer Five Star Kathiresan and was released in theatres on April 14. The film is now running successfully in theatres. The actor recently adopted 150 children ahead of the release of the film as will provide for their education.

One of the leading online media platforms, Galatta Media, organised a fans meet for Raghava Lawrence. The actor also gave gold rings to some technicians who were a part of Rudhran during the audio launch event. Speaking about it, Lawrence said "when I am in the shooting spot, I will take note of workers who are putting in hard work and are doing well. I can easily tell who is working well and who are acting. So, when I talk about them during an event. Heroine will get recognised, and heroes, directors, and producers everyone will get recognised. But, those who worked as labourers will be standing afar be it an Assistant Director or a guy who brings coffee. The hit or flop of the film will not affect him but, his hard work will be there in the film. I thought I should give them that honour for their hard work in the Rudhran film. I selected five people and called them and gave them a ring. What happened was I couldn’t present the ring to another person whom I wanted to present it to.”
Raghava Lawrence then asked permission if he could present the gold ring now and said “If I go home, I will be a different Lawrence and when I am in the shooting spot I will be a different Lawrence. From home, I will arrive like a saint and he is the one who changes my look in the caravan. It’s my make-up man Ganesh." The actor then presented a gold ring. He then said “my wife asked me why I am presenting him two rings. It's because, he changes me from saint to a hero (with makeup) so one ring for the saint and another for the hero."
