"Who Wants To Be A Millionaire?" is one of the most famous TV reality game shows which was originally launched in the UK in 1998. It has had a number of different variants running across different countries in different languages. The first Indian version of this show was Kaun Banega Crorepati, which became iconic after it was hosted by Amitabh Bachchan. The same show has also been tried in Tamil with different variations, including Kodeeswaran. However, all these versions have been inclusive of both male and female participants. Now, Colors TV Tamil has come up with an innovative all women format of this show, titled Kodeeswari, which will only have women contestants on the Hot Seat!

This new show is to be hosted by none other than the dynamic and evergreen Radikaa Sarathkumar. The calling for entry to this show has been opened and the very first question has also been released by Colors Tamil, the youngest Tamil General Entertainment Channel, in India. The question, with the regular four options and three different ways to input your answer and try your hand at an opportunity to enter the competition. Talking about this show, Ravish Kumar, Head - Regional Entertainment of Viacom 18, says, "Women have always put the dreams of their loved ones ahead of their own. Kodeeswari is a tribute to the unconditional love and selfless sacrifice made by millions of women every day and everywhere. It is a show that believes in giving back, in resurrecting modest ambitions, in giving dreams an opportunity to come true. Because hearts that beat for others should never skip a beat for themselves."

Talking about the show, Radikaa Sarathkumar, the host of the show says, "Women are an important part of human society, acting as the binding force. Amidst the cacophony to empower women, that has become a cliché across geographies and communities, I think, the need to simply acknowledge her for who she is and what she stands for, has been lost. ‘Kodeeswari’ shall be a platform where every contestant on the Hot Seat shall be celebrated for who she is and her journey amidst all her personal challenges!" There would be seven questions, 1 for each day, from 28th October to November 3rd and submitting the right answer for even one of them will earn women the chance to participate on the show!
