Vedaant Madhavan, son of Indian actor R. Madhavan, has constantly been making his father proud by winning medals in swimming. Representing India on the global stage, the 17-year-old Indian swimmer has now won the 48th Junior National Aquatics Championships with four gold and three silver medals. Finishing at a time of 16:01.73 for the 1500m freestyle, he also set records for India. After winning a bronze medal at the Latvia Open in March 2021, Vedaant Madhavan went on to claiming seven medals - four silver and three bronze - at the Junior National Aquatic Championships that same year. In April 2022, he captured his first gold medal at the Danish Open swimming competition. When Vedaant won five gold medals and two silver medals at the Khelo India Youth Games in Madhya Pradesh in 2022, Madhavan beamed with pride, he informed the good news on Twitter.
Taking to Twitter, Madhavan wrote a heartfelt note, "VERY grateful & humbled by the performances of @fernandes_apeksha ( 6 golds,1 silver,PB $ records)& @VedaantMadhavan (5golds &2 silver). Thank you @ansadxb & Pradeep sir for the unwavering efforts & @ChouhanShivraj & @ianuragthakur for the brilliant #KheloIndiaInMP. So proud." He continued in the following tweet, "With gods grace -Gold in 100m, 200m and 1500m and silver in 400m and 800m." People on social media, including those in the film industry, congratulated Vedaant after getting to know of his outstanding accomplishment in the sport of swimming. Vedaant's pursuit to become the greatest Indian swimmer ever and his aspiration to one day stand on the Olympic podium have both received strong support from Madhavan.
After Madhavan's Rocketry, which went on to be screened in the 2022 Cannes film festival, he is currently working on a web series called Railway Men. His yet-to-be-released movie, Amriki Pandit, is said to be completed. Madhavan was also announced recently to be joining hands for a film with blockbuster Tamil director Mithran R. Jawahar of Yaaradi Nee Mohini, Kutty, and Uthamaputhiran fame, who last year tasted blockbuster success with his Thiruchitrambalam.
