Actor Varun is known among fans for starring in pivotal roles in films namely Thalaivaa alongside ‘Thalapathy’ Vijay and Jayam Ravi ‘s Vanamagan, Bogan and the recently released, Comali. Now, Varun is all set to make his debut as a hero in the upcoming film, Puppy, alongside Samyuktha Hegde, who will be seen as the female lead. Kaaka Muttai director Manikandan's former associate Nattu Dev (Morattu Single) has directed the film wrapped up production sometime back. Having said that, the Puppy motion poster has now been released and features Varun and comedian Yogi Babu peeping into a laptop with images of controversial renown Hindu priest Nithyananda and popular adult star Johnny Sins in the background too doing the same.

Being produced by Ishari K. Ganesh under the Vels Films International banner, Puppy is being planned for a theatrical release soon and the film also includes Yogi Babu providing the comedic relief. Although not much is known about Puppy, we know the film will likely be centered on adult comedy based on the motion posteand also has in its technical team names like music director Dharan, cinematography by Deepak Kumar Padhy and editing done by Richard. Producer Ishari K. Ganesh is on a roll these days after he tasted box office success with his LKG released earlier this year and his Comali too has taken a solid opening in theatres after its release this week. He will be looking forward to Puppy too hitting a similar high note when it releases in the days ahead.
