Producer Sundararaman's noble gesture
Producer Thirisakthi Sundararaman, who has business interests in Jakarta, donated 10 lakhs to the South Indian Film Writers' Association, which is headed by the popular stage and cine artiste Visu
Lauding Sundararaman's generous gesture, Visu said writers are the unsung heroes with the focus only on the artistes, producers and directors. “This corpus fund would be used for the upliftment of the association and for the benefit of members in need of financial assistance,” Visu said.
Sundararaman hoped that his contribution would bring cheers to SIFWA which has a sizeable membership.
Incidentally, Sundararaman is the father of director Madhumitha, whose debut film is Vallamai Thaarayo.
