Dr G. Dhananjayan is a well-known producer who is also the head of the BOFTA film institute. He gave an exclusive interview to Galatta media and shared some insights about the film. When asked about Jailer, the producer said “the shooting of the film has been happening for over 100 days now, and people are putting in their hard work. as they are taking this much time." He then spoke about National award-winning film critic Baradwaj Rangan's Galatta Plus interview in which AR Murugadoss said he was under pressure that Darbar should be completed within August as Superstar Rajinikanth was planning his political entry. "Now that pressure is not on Jailer, Because Rajinikanth has asked Nelson to take his time and give a film that satisfied him and something that he likes. This shows Nelson will be back, with a bang. If Thalaivar had said we have to release the film on April 14, which you remember was the original date. Now, if that pressure was there Nelson would have had to compromise. If he (Rajinikanth) had said we have to finish the film then he (Nelson) will be under pressure that the film must be completed withing June, or September. He has no such pressure and can take how much ever time he wants. This freedom will bring Jailer, as an amazing film. This will make it a exceptionally good film among commercial entertainers."
