Malayalam television actress Priya died on Wednesday, November 1, due to a cardiac arrest, as per reports. She was 35. According to reports, Priya was eight months pregnant when she died at a private hospital, with the newborn baby currently said to be in the intensive care unit (ICU). It is stated that she had undergone a pregnancy check-up at the hospital before her heart attack. The news of Priya's demise came two days after the death of actress Renjusha Menon, who was found dead in her apartment in Thiruvananthapuram.
The heartbreaking news of Priya's death was first shared by Malayalam actor Kishor Satya on his social media account where he also posted a picture of the late actress and penned an emotional tribute. His statement in Malayalam translated to English as follows: "Priya died of cardiac arrest yesterday. She was 8 months pregnant. The mother who is crying unable to accept the death of her only daughter. The pain of husband Nanna as a loving partner with Priya without going anywhere for 6 months... Last night while going to the hospital, the sight of sadness rained in my mind. What will you say to comfort them... Why did God show this cruelty to those innocent minds who are believers...." (sic) He continued, "Unanswered questions... Before the shocking news of Ranjusha's death goes away, next one more.... When a person who is only 35 years old leaves this world, the mind is not allowing to say condolences.... How will Priya's husband and mother recover from this collapse... Don't know.... Let their minds have the power for that...." (sic)
Priya garnered popularity in Kerala after her role in the show, Karuthamuthu, and later took a break from acting after she got married.
