Praveena gets bail in defamation case
On Friday, the Ernakulam Judicial First Class Magistrate Court I granted bail to TV and film actress Praveena in connection with a defamation case filed by a Kochi based fitness centre.
The owner of Slimfx Speciality Centre in Panampilly Nagar filed the case against Praveena for allegedly making defamatory statements against the centre and its owner Soumini Vidyasagar.
Earlier, Praveena had filed a cheating case against the fitness centre. She contended that the fitness centre cheated her by giving false promises that her weight would be reduced within hours. She had reportedly paid Rs. 1.53 lakhs for this fitness programme.
