One of the leading online media organisations, Galatta Media, organised a fans festival for the popular director of Tamil cinema Vignesh Shivan. He has directed four films including Naanum Rowdy Dhaan. The film has ‘Makkal Selvan’ Vijay Sethupathi and ‘Lady Superstar' Nayanthara playing the lead. The actress and the director started dating after the film and got married last year, after the release of Kaathuvaakula Rendu Kaadhal. They also welcomed their twin babies later that year.

During the fans festival, as a surprise to the director, well-known reviewer Prashanth Rangaswamy arrived at the event and interacted with Vignesh Shivan. Talking about the director, the reviewer said “Vignesh Shivan and Nayanthara got married and normally, everyone spoke about the big wedding. But, more people did not talk about the fact that they fed 2,00,000 people that day. They fed people in a village near my native place. They keep thinking about people, be it him or Nayan. They keep thinking of people’s welfare. Everyone would discuss the rights and wrongs in this glitz and glamour but many won’t remember the philanthropy and some would also ignore it. I think it’s wrong, because the pressure he is handling for his age is too much. It’s not easy to be Vignesh Shivan.”
When the anchor asked if Vignesh Shivan had seen Prashanth’s video. The director said he has not seen it, jokingly and continued saying “I felt heartbroken after watching his review. He will tell everything as it is, like a mirror. Some films would not have worked, he would go on a flow about them and I will enjoy it.” When asked if Vignesh Shivan has ever waited for his review of his film. The director said, “I would be scared”. Speaking about their kids, the reviewer said "I am interested in seeing how they nurture their kids as they grow". Vignesh Shivan then said,"Time is flying”. When asked if there were any creative changes in psychology after the birth of their children, the director said "I think it’s more of a personality and lifestyle change because I have become calmer, the speed out of the vehicle reduces and they also give a fulfillment."
