Prabhas' Baahubali films still right at the top in the list of highest-grossing Indian films till date with other ventured that have come out since then battling it out to find a spot among the rest of the lot. The Telugu superstar’s next, Saaho, kicked off filming in 2017 in light of its August 15 release date and the film’s theatrical rights for the Telugu states have since gone on to rake in approximately Rs. 110 Cr to Rs. 120 Cr; an estimate that is way higher beyond other biggies in development at present.
One of the most exciting films coming out this year, the worldwide theatrical rights of Saaho’s Telugu version is estimated to fetch as much as Rs. 150 crores, which goes on to prove the massive expectations surrounding this upcoming Prabhas venture. The film hitting the breakeven status now itself is truly an accomplishment in comparison to other biggies that are fighting to surpass the Rs. 100 Cr mark.
Directed by Sujeeth, Saaho is being produced by UV Creations with Shraddha Kapoor playing the female lead followed by Neil Nitin Mukesh as the antagonist, Arun Vijay, Evelyn Sharma, Mandira Bedi, Mahesh Manjrekar, Chunky Pandey, Jackie Shroff, Malayalam actor Lal among others in major supporting roles.
