Ponnnyin Selvan: 2 is the final installation of the film adaptation of classic historical fiction novels by Kalki under the same name. The film is directed by Mani Ratnam with Karthi, Jayam Ravi, Vikram, Aishwarya Rai, Trisha, Jayaram, Sarath Kumar, Parthiban, Prakash Raj, Aishwarya Lekshmi, Sobhita Dhulipala, Prabhu, Ashwin Kakumanu in important roles. It also has music composed by 'Mozart of Madras' A. R. Rahman. The first part of Ponniyin Selvan was a blockbuster of 2022 and has created huge anticipation for the second part. The makers revealed massive updates about the film hyping the expectations of the audience over the last few years. The makers have now announced the chief guest for the trailer and audio launch event that is set to happen in Nehru Indoor stadium Chennai on March 29.
