‘Superstar’ Rajinikanth has kicked off 2019 with a bang as his Petta directed by Karthik Subbaraj has turned out to be a massive blockbuster.

A Sun Pictures venture with chartbuster music by Anirudh Ravichander, the multi-starrer action entertainer also includes ‘Makkal Vijay Sethupathi, Simran, Trisha, Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Sasikumar, Mahendran, Sananth, Bobby Simha, Guru Somasundaram, Malavika Mohanan, Vaibhav among others in major starring roles.

Meanwhile, Petta has been performing exceptionally well everywhere it has released with the film’s tickets being sold like hotcakes.

Now, popular Tamil movie distributor in Australia and New Zealand, Perth Tamil Movies have given an official statement on the film’s box office collections in both countries till date. It has now been revealed that Petta is a blockbuster in both countries with A$ 5,32,597 in Australia and NZ$ 57,724 in New Zealand and further cements the fact that Rajinikanth enjoys massive popularity overseas too.
