Aishwaryaa Rajinikanth has returned to film-making after a 9-year hiatus with the music video for the independent 'Payani' song in Tamil. The hit director and producer, who was hospitalized post-COVID-19 for fever and made a recovery a few days back, is now in full work mode, with the 'Payani' song released on February 14 as 'Musafir' in Hindi, is now also out in four different languages with different names. The song has been released on Thursday by leading names across various film industries, with the Tamil version being launched by 'Superstar' Rajinikanth. The Malayalam version of the song titled 'Yatrakkaran' has been released by Mohanlal, while the Telugu version titled 'Sanchari' was released by Allu Arjun.
'Payani' has been composed by Ankit Tiwari and sung by 'Rockstar' Anirudh Ravichander, with lyrics written by Viveka. It is to be noted that Aishwaryaa Rajinikanth and Anirudh have collaborated for the latest multi-lingual song after nine years when the duo last worked together for the 2012 blockbuster 3. Conceptualized and directed by Aishwarya Rajinikanth and produced by Bay Films, 'Payani' has been featured on popular choreographer Jani Master and Shrasti Verma and has been presented by Kumar Taurani and Prerna V Arora. Prior to the release of the 'Payani' music video, several notable film stars namely 'Megastar' Chiranjeevi, Yuvan Shankar Raja, Prabhu Deva, Vijay Yesudas, Rana Dagubbati and Dulquer Salmaan made the announcement of the song's launch on their respective social media pages.
