The wait is over - the second single from Silambarasan TR's Pathu Thala titled 'Ninaivirukka' is now out. The song in the highly-anticipated gangster drama has been composed by Academy Award winner A. R. Rahman, whose son A. R. Ameen has contributed on the vocals along with Shakthisree Gopalan, while Kabilan has written the lyrics. The full song promotional video of 'Ninaivirukka' has now come out after a special glimpse featuring A. R. Rahman, Ameen, Kabilan and the film's director Obeli N. Krishna was released last week to a rousing reception showing the Pathu Thala team in high spirits and giving audiences a look into how they worked on the track for STR's fans.

Picturized on Gautham Karthik and Priya Bhavani Shankar, 'Ninaivirukka' is a melody number and follows suit after the terrific response to the Pathu Thala first single 'Namma Satham', which was released as a special birthday treat for Simbu's fans on February 3. There is massive hype for the upcoming film and the songs in the album as it marks STR's fifth-time collaboration with A. R. Rahman after they worked in films like Vinnaithaandi Varuvaayaa, Achcham Yenbadhu Madamaiyada, Chekka Chivantha Vaanam, and more recently Vendhu Thanindhathu Kaadu Part I: The Kindling. ARR has been a lucky charm for Silambarasan over the years and Pathu Thala too is en route to becoming a chart-topping album, and all sights are set on the film's audio launch, which is expected to take place in a grand manner in Chennai on March 18.
Jointly produced by by K. E. Gnanavelraja's Studio Green in association with Jayantilal Gada's Pen Studios banner, Pathu Thala is set to open in cinemas worldwide on March 30. The film is a remake of the Kannada blockbuster Mufti, which starred Dr. Shivarajkumar as a don and Srimurali appearing as an undercover cop, with Silambarasan and Gautham Karthik portraying their roles in the Tamil version. With Maanaadu (2021) and Vendhu Thanindhathu Kaadu (2022) turning out to be staggering box office successes, STR will be looking to make it a hat-trick with Pathu Thala, which also stars Priya Bhavani Shankar, Gautham Menon, Kalaiyarasan, Teejay Arunasalam, Redin Kingsley, Anu Sithara, Manushyaputhiran among others cast in key roles.
