Pathaan is an upcoming Hindi action thriller film written and directed by Siddharth Anand and produced by Aditya Chopra under the banner of Yash Raj Films. The film will star Shah Rukh Khan, Deepika Padukone, and John Abraham in lead roles. The film will also serve as the fourth installment in the YRF Spy Universe after 2102's Ek Tha Tiger, 2017's Tiger Zinda Hai, and 2019's War. It is said to be the most expensive project of Yash Raj Films to date.

A new update has come up about the film and it is a biggie. It has been speculated that the teaser for Pathaan will be dropped on Shah Rukh Khan's 57th birthday on November 2. This was revealed by film journalist Himesh Mankad who took to his official Twitter handle to announce this. He wrote, "HE IS BACK - PATHAAN TEASER ON NOVEMBER 2 - The #30YearsOfShahRukhKhan celebrations continue on his 57th Birthday as #YRF is set to unveil an ACTION-PACKED Teaser of #Pathaan with a character introduction for #ShahRukhKhan, #DeepikaPadukone & #JohnAbraham among others! The character posters for all three characters have already been released and saw a great response from the viewers. It has them excited and eagerly waiting for the film which is only resulting in its hype. The film's music will be composed by Vishal - Shekhar, cinematography by Benjamin Jasper, and editing by Aarif Sheikh. 

This film is YRF's first Dolby Cinema release and the first Bollywood film to be shot fully with IMAX cameras. After filming for over 1.5 years, Pathaan is scheduled for a grand theatrical release on 25 January 2023, coinciding with the Republic Day weekend in 2D, 3D, and IMAX formats. This will be the first YRF Spy Universe movie to feature two post-credits as they are inspired by the MCU (Marvel Cinematic Universe).
