Actor Prabhu is a supporting actor and one of his popular roles is in Dhanush’s hit film Padikkathavan. He had died recently after a long battle with stage 4 cancer. Popular music composer D. Imman performed the last rites for the mortal remains of the actor and cremated his body. The music composer also shared about the demise of Prabhu on Twitter. He said "Actor Prabhu (Padikathavan and numerous other films) is no more with us. He suffered from stage 4 cancer and ascended to the other world this morning (14 June). Doctors, Nurses, and social activists tried their level best to retrieve him. But couldn’t. Rest in peace brother. My Heartfelt condolences.”

The photos of the music composer performing the last rites of the late actor have surfaced online and became viral. A close associate of the music composer has shared the photos that have become viral on social media. Actor Prabhu has been a part of over 100 films in supporting roles including Dhanush starrer Padikkathavan. In the film, he would have played the role of a rich guy who would come to Dhanush's house as a prospective groom for his sister in a comedy scene. It is said that because he did not get any acting jobs during the Covid induced lockdown he could not get proper treatment for cancer. It was also reported that he became thin and unrecognizable due to the life-threatening disease.
The demise of the actor Prabhu has come as a shock to fans and movie buffs. They also appreciated the humanitarian action of D. Imman in cremating and performing the last right for the actor. It was also said that he had helped the actor financially to get treatment for his ailments. Music composer D.
