Paalaivana Cholai

In the 80s, Paalaivana Cholai, starring Chandrasekhar and Suhasini, was├п┬┐┬╜a huge hit. Now, this cult classic is remade with Nithin Sathya and Karthika (of Nam Nadu fame) by the producer of the original – Vadivel of Maruthi Films; producer/ distributor Ramakrishnan teams up with him in this production.

The remake is directed by Dayalan. Since the original is almost three decades old, Dayalan has taken great care to rewrite the screenplay in a manner that today’s audience can relate to.

Karthika seems to be quite a big attraction of this film. The actress, whose performance in Dindigul Sarathy was raved about by everyone, seems to be growing more├п┬┐┬╜beautiful every day.├п┬┐┬╜The beautiful actress reprises the role played by Suhasini in the original.

Bobby composes the music of this remake. But two super hit songs of the original – ‘Megame’ and ‘Aalaanaalum Aalu’ – will be presented in remix versions. Vairamuthu, who penned the lyrics for the original, will├п┬┐┬╜again write the lyrics for the remake.
