While the whole country is rejoicing at the nomination of Indian singer Bombay Jayashri for her rendition Pi's Lullaby in the Hollywood film Life of Pi, a controversy seems to have creeped in. Apparently, the Tamil song in the film is similar to the Malayalam lullaby Omanathinkal Kidavo composed by Malayalam poet Iryimman Thampi in the 18th century. Now, it seems his relatives allege that the song has been copied from this. Music of Pi's Lullaby has been composed by Mychael Danna and Bombay Jayashri has penned down the lyrics and rendered it. Life of Pi has received a total of eleven nomination at the Oscars this year.
