Congratulations are in order for actress Ritika Singh as she completed her Black Belt 3rd Dan grading exam alongside her father. Known best among Tamil cinema audiences for her performances in Irudhi Suttru (2016) and Oh My Kadavule (2020), the popular star took to social media to share the news of her latest achievement, while also posting photos and videos of the special occasion with her KSI karate family members. Currently representing India at the KSI Karate World Championship in South Africa, Ritika wrote on Instagram, "Feeling absolutely incredible after completing my Black Belt 3rd Dan grading exam alongside my dad, my Indian teammates and all the Senseis from across the world! It was an honour! The KSI family has my heart 🤍 (sic)".

Ritika is at present participating in the KSI Karate World Championship despite her upcoming film, Kolai, starring Vijay Antony, which is gearing up for its theatrical release on July 21. Fans will know that the actress is already a kickboxer and a mixed martial artist and has been trained by her father Mohan Singh, who himself holds black belts in karate and kickboxing. She earlier put up an Instagram Story and expressed her disappointment at not being able to take part in the promotions of Kolai, but shared her happiness and wishes for the film to become a hit at the box office. Ritika wrote, "Missed out on the grand audio launch that happened in Chennai for our film Kolai yesterday! So glad to see all the happy faces who made this film possible and are finally gearing up for the big release! Wishing the whole team a big success all the way from South Africa. Cannot wait for 21st July (sic)."
Ritika Singh, who won Special Mention at the 63rd National Film Awards for her performance in Madhavan's Irudhi Suttru directed by Sudha Kongara, became a youth heart-throb after she won hearts in her role as Anu Arjun in the 2020 romantic fantasy film, Oh My Kadavule, which also starred Ashok Selvan and Vani Bhojan under Ashwath Marimuthu's direction. As for her upcoming film Kolai alongside Vijay Antony, the film also releasing in Telugu under the title Hatya directed by Vidiyum Munn fame Balaji Kumar has been creating a lot of buzz of late. She is also set to make a special appearance in Malayalam superstar Dulquer Salmaan's highly-anticipated gangster drama, King of Kotha, which is scheduled to come out in theatres as a grand Onam release in August.
