It's celebration time for popular Hindi television actress Bhumika Gurung, who has tied the knot with her long-time boyfriend Shekhar Malhotra in Mumbai. The wedding ceremony was an intimate affair held yesterday (March 8) in the presence of family members and close friends. Bhumika and Shekhar got married as per Punjabi customs, with the wedding pictures and celebrations taking social media by storm where the bride is seen looking gorgeous in a cream-coloured lehenga, which she paired off with a chuda and heavy accessories, while the groom was at his dashing best twinning in a cream-coloured sherwani that he paired off with a dark green colored turban and shawl.
After the wedding, Bhumika and Shekhar also posed for the photographers and media persons who had gathered outside the Gurudwara. The couple first officially announced their relationship last year, with the actress revealing that she loved her beau unconditionally, stating that he made her feel safe and secure at all times, including being a constant source of encouragement. According to reports, Shekhar proposed to Bhumika last year on her birthday.
On the work front, Bhumika played the lead role in Nimki Mukhiya, which aired on the Star Bharat TV channel and was telecast for over 650 episodes. The multi-camera television serial enjoyed a successful run airing for nearly two years and was well-revered by fans, with the actress once again reprising her role in the sequel series Nimki Vidhayak, which was telecast for nearly a year. It is to be noted that Nimki Mukhiya has been adapted in other languages, including in Tamil under the title Thaenmozhi B.A on Vijay Television.
