One of the most exciting films in pre-development stages, Thalaivar 167 will mark the first time association for ‘Superstar’ Rajinikanth and blockbuster director A. R. Murugadoss with Anirudh Ravichander scoring the music.
Touted to be produced by Lyca Productions, Thalaivar 167 includes many notable heavyweights from the film industry namely acclaimed cinematographer Santosh Sivan, Santhanam for the art direction and Niharikha Bhasin Khan for the costume designs with production beginning from April 10 amidst possible plans for a Pongal 2020 release.
Meanwhile, there were speculations up until now that leading south Indian actress Nayanthara was being eyed to play the female lead in Thalaivar 167. Now, an official confirmation has been issued by Rajinikanth’s PRO, who took to Twitter to officially announce that the ‘Lady Superstar’ has indeed been signed on to star opposite the 'Superstar' in the upcoming film.
He also went on to state that the rumors circulating of other popular stars’ addition in the film are completely untrue. Touted to be a mass commercial action film, Thalaivar 167 will mark the fourth-time collaboration for Rajinikanth and Nayanthara after their Chandramukhi, Sivaji and Kuselan.
