The big wait has finally come to an end - Telugu superstar Nandamuri Balakrishna's next film, the highly-anticipated Veera Simha Reddy, has been officially confirmed to be releasing worldwide ahead of the festive occasion of Sankranthi on January 12, 2023. Initially titled NBK 107, the release date announcement for the upcoming mass-action entertainer directed by Gopichand Malineni was made by blockbuster production banner Mythri Movie Makers (Allu Arjun's Pushpa and Mahesh Babu's Sarkaru Vaari Paata) on Saturday, December 3. The Veera Simha Reddy release date announcement will no doubt come as big joyous news for Balayya's ardent fans everywhere, who will be witnessing the iconic Telugu actor once again in action on the big screen after the massive success of his Akhanda last year. There is a massive buzz surrounding Balakrishna's Veera Simha Reddy and Mythri Movie Makers will be looking to leave no stone unturned to bring it out on as many good screens as possible. The film will have big competition as it is being pitted with 'Megastar' Chiranjeevi's Waltair Veerayya, which as well has been produced by Mythri Movie Makers, and is coming out for Sankranthi, with the Telugu version of 'Thalapathy' Vijay's Tamil film Varisu titled Vaarasudu too set to hit the screens for the big festival. Although Varisu in Tamil has been confirmed to release on January 12 by overseas distributors, it remains to be seen what plans blockbuster Telugu producer Dil Raju has in store for Vaarasudu. With Veera Simha Reddy now announced to be the first in Telugu to lock a release date, the race has certainly gotten interesting and we will now have to wait for the remaining films to reveal their plans next. 

Nandamuri Balakrishna's Veera Simha Reddy will see the action superstar paired with Shruti Haasan, while Varalaxmi Sarathkumar will be making a crucial appearance alongside Kannada actor Duniya Vijay. The film has music composed by Thaman. S, who has churned out the tunes and done the background score for a Balayya film after his chart-topping music in Akhanda. The technical team of Veera Simha Reddy includes talented names like Rishi Punjabi and Navin Nooli for the cinematography and editing, respectively, while Sai Madhav Burra has penned the dialogues, followed by production design by AS Prakash and action by stunt choreographers Ram and Lakshman.
