Mugdha replaces Kat in Devgan's next

Mugdha Ghose, who won a lot of critical acclaim for her stunning performance in Fashion, replaces Katrina Kaif in�Ajay Devgan's next home project�directed by Rohit Shetty.

Rohit Shetty, who�struck gold at the box office with his Golmaal Returns, confirmed that Mugdha Ghose will play the lead in his yet-to-be-titled film.�"Yes, we wanted Katrina Kaif in the project. She would have been a definite value-add. It's a pity though that she can't be doing my film because the dates of my film clash with some other assignments of hers," Shetty confirmed.

Mugdha, who is currently busy with Madhur Bhandarkar's Jail, is�really happy to be cast in Devgan's home production. Commenting on this new project, the actress said “I love singing and dancing around trees and have no contempt for hardcore commercial Hindi films. I'm happy to be playing one of the female leads in the film. Moreover, my part requires me to look glamorous as well as add to the plot."

Ask her what has excited her about this Hindi film and she says, “I'm happy to be paired opposite Fardeen Khan. I love that man's style. Moreover, Rohit is directing me. He is a guy who thinks commercial cinema and knows how to get his audience engaged in theatres. I'm sure I will have a blast working in this film."
