Mohanlal sings for Bhramaram
Malayalam superstar Mohanlal has rendered his voice for just a few songs in his filmi career spanning nearly 30 years. Entering films�in the role of the antagonist in Manjil Virinja Pookkal (1980) directed by Fazil, Mohanlal sang for the first time in 1985 for Onnanam Kunnil; later he sang for Chitram (1988) and Balettan (2003).
Mohanlal has recently sung a song for his upcoming�Bhramaram,�directed by Blessy and produced by Raju Mallyath and Zulfikar under the banner of Yuvan Entertainments. The song 'Annarkanna Vaa, Poovala Changatham Koodan Vaa' was recorded at Mohanlal's new recording studio in Kochi. This melodious folk song, penned by Anil Pachooran and tuned by Mohan Sithara, will be picturised on Mohanlal himself.
Bhramaram is about Mohanlal's journey from Coimbatore in Tamil Nadu to Marayoor in Idukki District of Kerala; he plays a lorry driver who meets diverse and different sorts of people during this journey. Popular Tamil-Telugu-Hindi actress Bhumika Chawla is the heroine. Lakshmi Gopalaswami has an important role alongside Murali, son of late National award winning actor Bharath Gopi.
Also in the cast are Suresh Menon, Madan Babu, Murali Krishnan, Baby Nivedita, and others. After 20 years, noted cameraman Ajay Vincent, son of director Vincent, is making a comeback to Malayalam with this film, which is likely to be completed in one schedule. Brought to the theatres by Max Lab Entertainments, Bhramaram will be Mohanlal’s summer release.
