The news of Acharya's postponement will no doubt come as a big disappointment for fans, but many have been extending their support to the team's decision considering the COVID-19 situation has witnessed an upward surge over the past few days around the country. Director Koratala Siva's Acharya, which has Chiranjeevi playing the role of a Naxalite-turned-social reformer, who goes up against the Endowments Department after coming to realize that temple funds and donations have been swindled, is one of the most-awaited films for fans of the iconic Telugu superstar. The upcoming film, which also has Ram Charan sharing screen space with Chiranjeevi, has left fans mighty excited as it will see the father-son duo on the big screen for the second time after they appeared together in Magadheera in 2009.
The buzz for Acharya is massive on social media and the response to the recently released 'Saana Kastam' song featured on Chiranjeevi and Regina Cassandra has turned out to be nothing short of sensational. The film also stars Kajal Aggarwal as the female lead, while Pooja Hegde plays Ram Charan's pair. Produced by Konidela Production Company in association with Matinee Entertainments, Acharya's supporting cast features Sonu Sood, Jisshu Sengupta, Saurav Lokesh among others and includes music by Mani Sharma, cinematography by S. Thirunavukkarasu, editing by Navin Nooli, with production design done by Suresh Selvarajan and choreography by Shekhar VJ.
