Meat Loaf earlier admitted that his physical problems caused him difficulties to perform. Last November, he revealed that he had four back surgeries, while informing fans that he would return to his studio in the new year. He posted on Facebook, "The back surgeries hurt everything. Before the back surgeries I was still trying to do shows, that's when some of you saw or heard of me collapsing on stage and finally stopping the tour in the UK. I couldn't hit high notes because of back pain. Not a slight back pain. Pain that would bring you to your knees." The beloved singer also had a passion for acting and was a member of the original cast of stage musical The Rocky Horror Picture Show, while he also appeared in Fight Club and several other films. Meat Loaf's last album, Braver Than We Are, was released in 2016, and his final on screen appearance was in episodes of TV shows Glee and Elementary.
